As a child I have always loved drawing and coloring. I would take up any pencil or pen and draw. My school books were covered with all kind of doodles. As a child, my dad was the best artist, very creative and expressive. My family has encouraged me right through my art career. |

Each painting and each design is an experiment. I just cannot stop experimenting, and this always leads me on to something new. I work with so many different art forms, whether it is pyrography (wood burning), designing logos and business cards, making handmade greeting cards, or painting with watercolors, oil pastels, acrylic, cut paper, and even glass. When conceiving a piece, I first visualize color, days before I even know what I am going to create. Each color finds its own presence in my art, and I strive for it to complement the others. I make art because it is a way of expressing my love for color and form. After I have finished a piece, I put it away for a few days, and when I take a peek at it, and if it still makes me smile I know I love it |

I went to art school in Bombay and New York City, where I studied textile surface design for printed and woven fabrics. I worked for many years in the textile industry. I studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, for the graphic art program. Currently, I work as a graphic designer and teach watercolor at the Boston Architectural Center. |
